The essence of the 2-Day workshop is that participants work on their own project plans.
Day one of the workshop is entirely generic (and similar to the one day project management course) but, on Day 2, they have an opportunity to plan their own projects.
This is particularly valuable as we always advocate working backwards when producing a project plan: to identify the outputs or deliverables first of all, and then to identify the inputs which lead to those outputs.
For many, this is an unusual approach but they rapidly discover the merit of this way of working.
Although there is a brief demonstration of project software (MS Project or similar), participants are left to input
project plans in their own time.
Both a course description and a draft agenda are available under
Downloads.
| Note: | We
will require three or four client projects to plan
during the workshop.
Participants will be invited to complete a Belbin Team
Role Inventory based on a Self Assessment and four Observer
Assessments. This is not compulsory, but adds
considerable value to the discussions on project teamwork. |
